Farsight Studios as the makers of the award winning Pinball Arcade has taken on the task of adapting the popular franchise to the pinball medium in its newest game entitled Ghostbusters Pinball
Here, you will play in the table and you should control of the Ghostbusters crew, such as Egon, Peter, Ray and Winston, as they battle paranormal foes in New York City.
During the game, you will go through some levels that are divided into three levels representing iconic settings from the movies such as the city, rooftop and subway.
At this pint, you can also use eight flippers to move the ball through the three levels by shooting up and down ramps, tubes and a manhole as you build up a huge Ghost Bonus.
In order to reveal a ball lock for Multi-Ball, you have to raise the Slimer Pop Bumper so that you can cross the streams on the roof to destroy the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
At the beginning of the game, you will be served with very detailed instructions and goals to accomplish that these instructions will help you along the game
You will also go to all skill levels and all of the table’s features.
Playing this game is free in which you can also play all three balls and set high scores to compete on worldwide leader boards.
Anyway, this game will require token as the main currency of this game, and you will be able to get 10 tokens to start with and you earn at least four tokens every day.
However, instead of the fantastic new retro-inspired pinball experience that fans are it is what a lackluster re-skin of the classic Haunted House table happens to be an existing table in Farsight’s library of ports.
Positively, all of the interactive elements and table toys have been replaced with items such as a fully-rendered Slimer and a Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
This game also features sound bites from the films, a new multi-ball mode, and an actual mission.
Moreover, you will see one interesting new element to this game in which it is available for free to download and you can choose to either pay for tokens to continue play after your initial allotment of dwindles, or wait for your supply to slowly respawn.
Meanwhile, a few other pinball games on the App Store have tried this arcade emulation model previously, but none are anywhere near as high profile as this property.
But, you may find very little to see beyond a few rounds, so it will be interesting to see if Farsight is still making money on this monetization feature.
Although, it is great potential game, a genuine opportunity to reinvent Farsight’s pinball brand as a home for retro-inspired original tables has been squandered on a somewhat mediocre re-crafting of predecessor content.
In addition, if you are game freak of Ghostbusters and pinball, this game is worth to play even you may enjoy the game for a round or two only.
